The Firm has represented a child in a criminal case who has no birth certificate since birth. The child was mistaken to be a foreigner by the authorities and was arrested for not having a valid entry pass. The firm has defended the child in the case.
This case exposed the Firm to facts and statistics of so many other unregistered children in Malaysia, who has no legal identity despite being born in Malaysia.
This case then led the Firm to start its PROJECT 6CHILDREN.
